Ph.D in Journalism, my research interests are mainly focus on journalists and public trust in the news media. I am researcher in the Group of Studies about Journalism and Communications (University of Málaga, Spain) and in the International Group of Studies about the Journalism Profession (Santiago de Chile University, Chile). I received the National Prize for distinguished collegue students, awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Education. I finished a postdoctoral research stay in the Department of Journalism at the Indiana University (USA). I am co-author of a chapter included in The Global Journalist in the 21st Century, edited by Routledge. My research papers have been published in several journals such as Journalism Studies, Comunicación y Sociedad, Comunicar, Estudios sobre el Mensaje Periodístico, Historia y Comunicación Social, Observatorio (OBS*), and Revista Latina de Comunicación Social, among others.
Currently, I am a faculty member in the Department of Journalism at the University of Málaga.
